It's not a problem Brenna, but keep in mind that when we are role-playing, we are in a different reality.  Most of us take it pretty seriously, so if we are in a meeting discussing situations, threats, missions, or whatever, we expect everyone to act like it is really happening and that it is a serious situation.  Therefore we expect everyone who is participating to act as they would if it were happening in real life

Welcome to the Sebastian Monroe Fanpage - Revolution Fanpage!!  Our Facebook page is just one part of our community!  We also have a website, Militia email located at Monroe-Republic.com, a Role-Play Forum and a Role-Play chatroom! 
 
Role-Play is basically what it sounds like.  We get together online and play out different scenarios pertaining to the TV show Revolution and the Monroe Militia.  I will try to explain it so that is easy to understand here. One of the best things about it is that it is a great escape from our real, sometimes crappy lives, lol.
 
The Facebook Page is basically a Fanpage but many things connected to the Role-Play portion is also played out and announced here.  The "Militia" we have created is based off of General Monroe's Militia but is also based off of the United States branch of the Military the U.S. Marine Corps.  We chose this branch because before the blackout this is the branch of the Military that Bass and Miles were enlisted in.
 
On the Facebook page you can earn what we call Command Points.  The more Command Points you earn, the higher you move up in rank within the Militia.  However, the best way to earn points is to also join our Forum and Role-Play.  On the forum, there are on-going missions and orders that are assigned to the group as a whole, and there are also orders assigned specifically to each soldier that has enlisted (joined the forum).  For each Mission or Order completed, you earn a certain number of Command Points. The number of points you earn depends on the difficulty of the Mission or Order that you complete.
 
Now to explain the Role-Play.  All it takes is a willingness to attend sessions and an imagination!  Since it has started we have been holding sessions just about every day and/or evening!  That does not mean that members must attend each and every session.  We do realize that people have lives outside of the internet and it is impossible for everyone to attend every time we get together.  Basically, we meet up, we discuss Militia business, we go on Missions (our last one was to Bradbury, ID to check out the nanite situation), we have had security breaches on some of our Militia bases, attacks on personnel, rescue missions, etc.  Although this is a Military Militia and much of the role-play is based around the Militia, it also plays out personal aspects of the characters lives such as friendships, family relationships, and even romantic relationships (completely PG! No x-rated talk or "sexting" as it is called is allowed!).  We have members that have taken on the roles of characters from the show, and we also have members that create their own character, usually sticking with their own name.  For example, a few of our top admins play out the shows characters.  Admin Daniel Nemeth plays out the characters of Miles, Bass, General Blanchard, our Militia Doctor, and Strausser.  Another admin plays Charlie while another one plays Rachel.  Then we have others that use their own name and make their own character.
 
As stated above, we also have missions and orders on the forum that are assigned every other week or so, unless I fall behind.  When those orders are assigned it is announced on the Facebook page so that everyone is aware that they have active orders open (This is why it is a good idea to be a member of the Facebook Page also).  Most orders are given two weeks to complete (all internet work or photo taking or doing a bit of research on something), so that you do not have to leave your home and traipse all over the country in order to fulfill your missions.  This is where the two coincide.  In order to be able to get into the chatroom for the role-play, you must also be a part of the forum and in order to stay a member in the forum, you must be active in the forum.  If there is no activity on your account in the orders section for 30 days, then the account gets deleted.  I do however keep track of any and all awards that you have won, your rank, etc so that if you choose to come back you don't have to start back down at the bottom.  I do this for a reason.  I am the only one who creates the individual orders and if members ignore them or dont do them, its a waste of my time assigning the orders in the first place. Don't get me wrong, I love running this site and will continue to do it as long as it is being used, but I can't be wasting my time on people who are not going to perform their duties (and believe me they are not difficult) when I have other things I need to be doing. I have a life outside of the Militia also although if given the choice I would live only the Militia!
